George A. Smathers Libraries
The University of Florida’s seven libraries form the largest information resource system in the state of Florida, serving every college and center in the university. With more than 3.4 million visits each year, the libraries are home to over 6 million print volumes, 1.5 million e-books and a number of nationally significant research collections and architectural preservations. Private support allows the Libraries to continue to build collections — both print and electronic — and provide outstanding services to students and faculty.

Friends of the Libraries Fund
Unrestricted support for the Smathers Libraries' greatest needs, at the Dean's discretion.
Michael Gannon Lecture Fund
Support the annual Michael Gannon Lecture, established in honor of Distinguished Service Professor Emeritus Michael Gannon. Funds will support honorarium and travel expenses for the speakers and other expenses related to the event.
Libraries Giving Opportunities
Architecture and Fine Arts Library Fund
Support the greatest needs of the Architecture and Fine Arts Library, including Music.
Education Library Fund
Support of the Education Library, including acquisition, cataloging, digitization, preservation and processing of materials for the Education Library; planning and conducting exhibits; hosting events; and improvement of library services, technology and facilities.
Health Science Center Library Friends of the Library Fund
Support the Health Science Center Library.
Library West Endowment
Support greatest needs of Library West, to be determined by the director of the Libraries.
Robert Q. Marston Science Library Endowment Fund
Support programs, research and acquisitions for the science library.
Smathers Centennial Endowment
Support the care and utilization of special and area studies collections, including cataloging, digitization, preserving and processing of collections; hosting events and speakers relevant to the collections and departmental activity; acquiring materials to enhance the collections; making the collections available through programs and partnerships; reformatting into digital and other formats for global access; and other related activities.
Smathers Libraries Student Success Endowment
Contribute to student success and their preparation for successful careers, the Smathers Libraries will create online, face-to-face, and blended instructional programs, offer research experiences based on library collections and services, and provide experiential learning opportunities that include but are not limited to utilizing tools, expertise and technologies, to students of all disciplines. Libraries are critical campus partners as they provide expertise in developing critical-thinking skills as well as information, data, and digital literacy for life-long learning. Pre-endowment.

Harold and Mary Jean Hanson Rare Book Fund
Support rare book purchases for the Libraries.
Isser and Rae Price Library Endowment Fund
Support Library of Judaica; preservation of legacy.
James Haskins Collection in African American Literature
Support acquisitions and processing of additional material relating to African American history and culture.
Latin American & Caribbean Collection Endowment
Provide support for the care and utilization of the Latin American & Caribbean Collection, including cataloging, processing and preserving the collection; acquiring materials to enhance the collection; reformatting into digital and other formats for global access; hosting events and speakers relevant to the collection; making the collection available through programs and partnerships; and other related activities.
Map & Imagery Fund
Support of purchasing and processing library material for the Maps & Imagery Library.
Panama Canal Museum Collection Endowment
To support the care and maintenance of the Panama Canal Museum Collection (PCM), including cataloging, digitization, preservation and processing of the PCM Collection; planning and conducting local, traveling and online exhibits; hosting events; acquisitions of related materials to enhance the collection and making the collection available for global access.
Stewards of Florida History Fund
Support programs, speakers and research relating to Florida's history and to gather and preserve records of that history.
