Recruiting and training peer educators in the community that specialize in various aspects of health literacy with a focus on families and children. Travel expenditures to local community centers, service groups and supporting organizations. Cost of equipment used in educational sessions, including but not limited to blood pressure cuffs, glucose monitors and drug disposal bags. Educational materials and compensation for the peer educators.

Proceeds from the annual UF Health Golf Tournament to be used for the greatest needs of UF Health Northeast.

The Y.E.A.H. program is designed as a four-year healthcare education engagement program for students attending high school. The program goal is to share knowledge about the diversity of careers in the healthcare field; efficacy/confidence to pursue a career in healthcare and peer-to-peer engagement with fellow students.
