David W. Johnston established this scholarship to honor two men who were influential to his development as a landscape architect. Johnston is a 1967 graduate of the UF program and owner/operator of David W. Johnston and Associates, a landscape architecture firm.
Herrick H. Smith taught in the Department of Landscape Architecture from 1966 until his retirement in 1995 as professor emeritus.
