Publix Charities Pharmacy Scholarship

Provide an award used to support professional development for graduate and postdoctoral students, including but not limited to travel, conference registration costs, and short-term training at external sites/laboratories.

Support Student Leadership development activities and programs for the College of Pharmacy's Jacksonville off-campus site.

Disburse the "spendable" funds derived each year from the income as follows: 1% of the 5% (i.e. 20% of the spendable amount distributed) to be used at the discretion of the Dean; 24% to be used for student travel to and participation in professional pharmacy organization meetings (e.g. APhA, ASHP and the regional/state affiliated organizations); 56% to be used for pharmacy scholarships. The Foundation Board of Directors also favors continuing to use the parameters set forth by Jack Eckerd "to aid worthy students through the College of Pharmacy."
