Support nursing students in the Doctor of Nursing Practice program by providing scholarships to attend state or national professional conferences promoting work on a special professional certification, additional training to support a final project, presentation opportunities, and/or network needed to advance in their nurse practitioner careers. Preference will be given to students enrolled in the DNP Residency course and is intended for in-person conference participation. An application focused on the support goals for this scholarship and anticipated conference expenses is to be collected, and awards will be in consultation with the relevant administrator overseeing the department in which the DNP program is housed.

Support fellowships for students pursuing graduate degrees in the area of psychiatric nursing at College of Nursing; may be awarded annually to same student for remainder of coursework; if psychiatric nursing ceases to exist at UF, preference shall be given to undergraduate with strong interest in psychiatric nursing; if /when fund reaches $600K, the Dean of the College of Nursing, in his/her sole discretion, will have the option to use spendable income for fellowships or an endowed faculty position.

Support Masters level program to prepare nurses to provide primary healthcare services in clinic in low-cost housing high-rise building & function as case manager for elderly individuals.
