Claire M. Germain Legal Research Instruction Fund

Fund Purpose
Support legal research instruction at the College, including, but not limited to, facilitating professional librarians attendance at workshops, seminars, or conferences that enhance librarians understanding of the methodology and practical application of legal research for the practice of law or academic legal research, or both; inviting legal research experts from the private sector or the academy to teach legal research in settings that enable College librarians to acquire knowledge of best practices in legal research instruction; enhancing lawyer librarians' teaching techniques, with emphasis, where possible, on the teach techniques that help law students pass the legal research requirements of a bar exam or other professional certification requirements requiring legal research expertise; acquiring materials on legal research; or such other legal research instruction purposes as determined by the Director of the Lawton Chiles Legal Information Center at the College. The Fund will be administered by the Dean of the College.
