ROTC Brick Fund

Support scholarship awards to students attending the University of Florida, admitted to the AFROTC Program and eligible for appointment as officers in the United States of America National Military Establishment. If the AFROTC Program is discontinued at UF, the scholarship(s) is to be awarded to students in any officer training program at UF which leads to a commission in any of the USA Armed Forces; if no recipient is selected in a given year, pursuant to the above provisions, then the income shall be reinvested as part of the principal of the fund for future scholarships; if there are no eligible candidates for a period of 10 yrs., the fund name shall become the Dr David A Engstrand Scholarship Fund and scholarship(s) will be awarded to medical students at UF.

Spendable income of the Cervenka ROTC Fund shall be used to support annual scholarships of at least $1,000 to University students in the Air Force ROTC.

Intended to award Air Force cadets who are enrolled as an active cadet at AFROTC Detachment 150 and University of Florida, and pursing a full-time undergraduate degree program and commission into the US Air Force (USAF) and US Space Force (USSF) who possess either an official or unofficial financial need, and demonstrates potential to serve as a commissioned officer in the USAF or USSF. Scholarship recipient(s) will receive an award of up to an annual total of $6,000* (up to $3,000 for Fall semester and up to $3,000. for Spring semester.) This scholarship may be split between two cadets per semester ($1500 per student) and will be disbursed through the students’ University of Florida Bursar’s account.
