Support professorship in College of Business providing salary supplement and other support for the teaching and research of the recipient; will also provide for doctoral fellowship and/or faculty fellowship in Business.

This fund honors W. A. “Mac” McGriff III, a private investor in Jacksonville. McGriff, who graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in business administration in 1969, received UF’s Distinguished Alumnus Award in 1993. He served as president of Alliance Mortgage Co. from 1975 to 1989 and as a volunteer board member and vice chairman of the University Medical Center Jacksonville (now Shands Jacksonville) from 1986 to 1996 and CEO from 1996 to 1999. He now serves as a member of the UF Board of Trustees.
