This fund, established in 1975 by Manuel Pedro González, currently supports the acquisition for the George A. Smathers Libraries of materials dealing with the life and works of José Marti as well as contemporary or historical Cuban books, manuscripts and periodicals or materials relating to Cuba.

Schmink Fund for Innovation in Tropical Conservation and Development
Support the development and application of innovative approaches/programs of the TCD program through various activities; such as practical applications, training projects, seed money for collaborative research, networking activities between TCD alumni, students and partners, etc.
McCoy Latin American Travel Scholarship Fund
Support student travel grants for short-term study abroad in Latin America; such study abroad opportunities include, but are not limited to programs associated with Dr. McCoy, such as the Latin American Business study tour, the Law & Policy in the Americas study tour and the Business in Brazil summer program.
Latin American Studies Alumni Graduate Student Travel Fund
Support travel for Latinamericanist graduate students to pursue opportunities consistent with their academic pursuits, including internships, presentation of papers at professional meetings, and study abroad.
