Purpose
Support scholarship awards to second year students in the College who demonstrate leadership potential, with preference to students who, as law students, have engaged in public service through volunteer efforts, internships, externships, or through work with organizations such as the Center for Governmental Responsibility or similar organizations at the College. in addition, each applicant shall submit an essay demonstrating his or her current and future leadership potential, particularly in relation to public service. The chair of the faculty scholarship committee shall, when possible and with best efforts, consult with the director of the Center for Governmental Responsibility, the faculty advisor to the Florida Law Review, and the director of clinical programming at the College before making the annual award. The final decision regarding the recipients will be made by the Dean or the Dean's designee. The award of this scholarship shall be in addition to any other scholarship or merit-based award received by the recipients and shall not be used as a substitute or in lieu of any other scholarship or merit-based award received by the recipients. The foregoing restriction shall not apply to the extent prohibited or made impossible for a student receiving need-based aid.

Edwin Presser Scholarship in Law
Support scholarships for both existing and matriculating students at the College under standards to be developed and implemented by the Dean of the College or person(s) designated by the Dean; where possible and in Dean's discretion, awards to law students who are interested in pursuing a public service career or practicing public interest law or to students who could not otherwise afford attending law school.
Helen Gibel Blechman Memorial Law Endowment
(for the first 20 years of its existence, through 2030) to support an annual award in the amount of $500 each for the top student in each of pro-bono and community service work; remaining spendable dollars will go to the College's unrestricted fund (UFF fund #331) designated to support the Intimate Partner Violence Assistance Clinic (IPVAC). In 2031, all spendable income will be distributed to UFF Fund #331, designated to support the IPVAC.
UF-UCLA-LoPucki Bankruptcy Research Database Fund
The UF-UCLA-LoPucki Bankruptcy Research Database Fund (Fund) shall be created at the Levin College of Law in order to facilitate future fundraising initiatives that support Professor Lynn LoPucki and his research and reporting of data on corporate bankruptcy. Professor LoPucki has made the initial cash gift of $100,000 to create a non-endowed fund. The Fund is intended to remain spendable with proceeds accessible for strategic priorities annually.
