This fund was established in 2012 by Louis H. and Rosemary Oberndorf to support Florida Opportunity Scholars Program at the University of Florida.
Lou received a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Portland in 1967, and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Utah. He is the founder and chairman of Medical Education Technologies, Inc.
Lou received the University of Florida Honorary Alumnus Award in 2010. He also serves on the University of Florida Foundation Board’s Donor Relations Advisory Counci

UFAA Past Presidents FOS Endowment
Support Florida Scholarships; if the Florida Opportunity Scholarships program ceases to exist at the University then the spendable income shall be used to support scholarship awards to first generation Florida students with low family incomes.
