Native Plant Seed & Materials Program

The Fund shall be used for the Center for Aquatic and Invasive Plants to support (a) extension activities related to aquatic plant management for aquatic pesticide regulators, government agencies, and the public and (b) students working with faculty affiliated with the Center for Aquatic and Invasive Plants who are researching aquatic weed or algae control using pesticides. Once every 2 years, the UF/IFAS fund administrator may request that $100,000 from the Fund's principal be moved to the Fund's spendable, in his or her sole discretion, until no amount remains in the principal. The Donor's preference is that no more than an average of $50,000 (calculated over a 5-year period) be spent annually from the spendable.

Supports research on the current state and effects of agriculture-related trade between Cuba and the United States.

6 scholarships to Agr/Soils Club members; comm. chooses 1 sr/1 Jr scholarship, activity/contribution to club & Dept, 1 Jr/1 sr based on same in Soils, & sr undergrad w/no dept rest & w/club contribution, & 1 grad in Agronomy/Soils w/club contribution.
