Joseph “Joe” Traba established this Fund in 2010 to support the Florida Opportunity Scholarship program at the University of Florida.
Joe graduated with a bachelor’s degree In education from UF in 1965. He is the financial consultant at Wells Fargo Advisors. He has been an investment Banker for the past 57 years. Prior to working for Wells Fargo, Joe was the senior vice president of investments at Prudential Bache Securities, Inc.

Aid-A-Gator: Student Support
Financial assistance for UF students who have financial need due to a hurricane or other natural disaster, major disaster, fire or other similar occurrences. Funds may be awarded for such matters as travel expenses, emergency medical care, loss of personal property or other related expenses. Awards will be made as determined by the Provost or the Provost's designee.
Andrew A. Sorensen MFOS Endowment
Support scholarships for the Bernie and Chris Machen Florida Opportunity Scholars Program with preference for students who graduated from a high school in Alachua County, Florida. If the FOS program ceases to exist at UF, then the income shall be used to support scholarship awards to first generation students from low income families in Florida.
General MFOS Fund - HHP
Support the Bernie and Chris Machen Florida Opportunity Scholars Program supporting the College of HHP student. If the program ceases to exist at the University, then the spendable income shall be used to support scholarship awards to first-generation undergraduate Florida students from low income families.
