This fund was established in 2009 by the estate of David C. Jewell to support the Florida Opportunity Scholars Program at the University of Florida.
David earned a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from the University of Florida in 1958. He worked for the Orlando Regional Medical Center for 23 years, retiring in 1996.

Aid-A-Gator: General Support
Financial assistance for UF students, faculty, and staff who have financial need due to a hurricane or other natural disaster, fire, or other similar occurrences. Funds may be awarded for such matters as travel expenses, emergency medical care, loss of personal property, or other related expenses. Awards will be made as determined by the Provost or the Provost's designee.
