Letter: support the chief resident in Internal Medicine by allowing the chief resident to fund extras for the housestaff ; for example providing inspirational guest speakers, a trip to a special conference or a much needed social event; award is to be used to help the housestaff learn the important balance between taking care of patients and caring for people.
