Basic RS/Macular Degeneration

GA: The spendable income shall be used for awards to support innovative scientific research projects conducted by faculty at The Herbert Wertheim UF Scripps Institute for Biomedical Innovation & Technology. The awards shall be for research that is foundational and that could lead to scientific breakthroughs and critical technological advances. The research may be at the initial concept stage where seed funding is needed before more traditional funding sources become available, and funds may cover, among other expenses, capital equipment and training. Approximately half of the awarded projects will include research conducted in collaboration with other research institutions. Awards will be made by the Board of Advisors.

Support scientific research core services at The Wertheim UF Scripps Institute. Funds may be used for equipment, maintenance and service, training and education, operational needs, and other related purposes that enhance research infrastructure and scientific advancement.
