This fund honoring John T. and Winifred Hayward provides a professorship with a primary emphasis on the discovery and prevention rather than the treatment of genetic disorders. It was established in 1999 by the John and Winifred Hayward Foundation. The Hayward Foundation is dedicated to researching and eradicating human genetic diseases.
John T. Hayward passed away on March 20, 1975, at age 90.
