Arlene P. McKitrick Scholarship

Support need-based scholarship awards to undergraduate students in the College of Nursing. Recipients are chosen with preference in the following order: (1) residents of Brevard County, or those with recommendation from UF Alumni in the county; (2) residents of Suwanee County, or those with recommendation from UF Alumni in the county.

Letter: support fellowships to students at the College of Nursing.

Support annual scholarship for students in Nursing; for tuition, books, supplies, living expenses; recipient will continue to get funding if he/she demonstrates superior performance with GPA 3.33 or higher. Annual award shall be divided among two undergraduate students and one graduate student. The three members of the Fawcett Scholarship Fund, Inc., shall serve as honorary advisors to the Dean of the College of Nursing and shall be informed of candidates under consideration for Fawcett scholar awards. These advisors are: Mr. Ted Parker, Port Charlotte, Florida; Mrs. Anna Koening, Jacksonville, Florida; and Barbara Rustige, Port Charlotte, Florida. These individuals will serve in an honorary advisory capacity to the dean for a period of five (5) years and will not be replaced once that time period has elapsed or should any member resigning prior to the end of the five year period. Suitable candidates will be sought first from the Charlotte County area of the state of Florida. If suitable candidates cannot be found, then other candidates will be sought from areas outside of Charlotte County within the state of Florida.
