Florida Leadership Program Endowment

Fund Purpose
Support leadership program & applicants; each applicant must be a US citizen & a resident of Florida for at least one year at the time of the application date deadline, earn a substantial part of livelihood from private sector of Florida's agriculture, natural resources or related areas & demonstrate leadership qualities; first year, class participates in 11 study/travel locations in FL, Washington DC and 1 region of US; second year, class focuses on national & international issues & their impact on Florida; training emphasizes understanding of issues, as well as basic skills in communication, interpersonal relations, decision-making & problem solving; total effort is to prepare people for leadership in solving issues that shape the future of Florida's agriculture, natural resources & rural communities.
