Supports the undergraduate students in the Department of Environmental Engineering Sciences with a preference for compensating undergraduate students selected by faculty to serve as classroom and laboratory support to College faculty members in water treatment courses, to be conducted in accordance with University requirements for employment of students.

Support collaboration with Florida International University in forming a joint MDPHD program; enhanced through annual symposia, annual reports and other joint research activities. Assessment metrics to include: collaboration publications, joint NIH proposals, MD/Ph.D. students graduated. Emphasis given to Biomedical Engineering research programs.
