Archaeology and Paleoenvironmental Studies Fund

Support PH.D. students in the Department of History who are doing archival research on Colonial Latin America. Support may be used for travel and duplication expenses. Students shall be "ABD," meaning they have completed required coursework, passed any required preliminary and comprehensive exams, and met all other requirements except for the research, writing, and defense of a doctoral dissertation or thesis. If, in any given year, no student in the Department of History qualifies for support, then the spendable income may be used to either support a similarly qualified ABD graduate student doing archival research on Colonial Latin America in the Center for Latin America Studies or to add to the principal of the endowment, at the discretion of the Dean of the College.

Support graduate fellowships or assistantships in Dept of Political Science to superior students; stipends are to be addition to Dept's regular budget.

Support Beyond 120 study abroad.
