Supports scholarships for the Horticultural Sciences Department. Criteria: full-time agri business, agricultural products or agricultural science majors pursuing vegetable products careers; must be US citizen or permanent resident preferably from SW FL; academic merit and professional potential.

Lenton Rowland, Jr. and Kitty Fehr Endowment
Support generous fellowship awards to graduate students within the Department of Animal Sciences in UF/IFAS. These awards shall be renewable during the students' time in graduate school. It is the Donors' wish, to the extent possible, that these awards be large enough so the student does not need to undertake additional outside employment. Preference should be given to students with U.S. citizenship (if possible) studying poultry. The Donor recognizes that UF does not currently have a Poultry Science research program but, has in the past, of which Donor was a member of the Department. Current poultry programs focus on extension and teaching activities. If the Department of Animal Sciences ceases to exist, the Donors wish that the Fund always be used for graduate students in production agriculture with preference to students working with animals and then plants.
Food Safety Research Program
To further the research, training, and the education of students in the area of produce safety. Resources will be used to conduct research, publish data, and provide students the opportunity to attend state and national meetings to disseminate their findings.
Florida Pest Management Association Urban Entomology Professorship
Support professorship in Entomology & Nematology in IFAS to faculty with interest in urban pest problems and a distinguished record in research, extension & instruction.
